Much Grunge

Sometimes good things happen when you go through your dad's closet. Good things like this old denim shirt. I love how oversized it is and I loooove how it's naturally lightened from wear over the years. Paired it with distressed black jeans, dark lips, black sunnies, and the Nike Air Force 1's. My inner grunge is completely out. If you're looking for a little bit cleaner look, try the same style except with a more fitted denim shirt and regular black jeans. I ALMOST didn't want to wear pants with it, but I decided since it's really cold out now I must. I'm actually really into it with these jeans though. For fall and winter I think dark lips are necessary so you'll probably be seeing a lot of this look. (OCC Lip Tars are my fav)

Black, White, and Denim

You can't go wrong with a little black, white, and denim combination. So simple and clean. And the black and white gets even better when it's in turtle neck form. I'm all about it. This time, I've paired it with one of my favorite bottoms; the American Apparel tennis skirt. There was a little confusion from people last time. I don't actually wear this skirt when I'm playing tennis... It's just cool. I love the pleated detail. There are so many opportunities for denim jackets I could wear one everyday. I try to vary it with my leather, quilted, and utility jackets though. But with this outfit, I needed it.

The Public Desire cleated platforms have made another appearance.

Vintage Inspired Crochet

I can't get over my new little crochet turtle neck top from Urban Outfitters. The brand Cooperative has a lot of interesting vintage-inspired items that I'm into right now. This one's so dainty and pretty so I paired it with Docs for an edgy twist. The asymmetrical hem on the side = yes.

Oversized Tee Time

Well, I'm obsessed with T-shirt dresses. They're so easy to wear, versatile, cute and not to mention comfortable. This one's especially cool because it has two super high cut slits on each side. Something like, business in the front, party on the side. I wore this with black lace shorts and a lace bralette underneath because I wanted to stick with all black and really show off the side slits. This could also be paired with jeans or jean shorts underneath.

When it comes to jewelry I'm all about simplicity. I recently got this gold body chain from Brandy Melville and it's perfect. I can wear it with just about everything and I think it's a little more interesting than just a necklace.

Leather Chic

Leather jacket weather is upon us. Mixed feelings about that but they're another one of my fall and winter must haves. I'm super into super distressed denim which is why I wear these jeans way too much. They just bring my outfits to the perfect grunge/casual level. Again this is me in Adidas. Can you tell I play sports? Ha anyways, I could wear variations of this outfit everyday. Also, there's nothing more practical than 6 inch cleated platforms. I'll risk breaking my ankle for these babies from Public Desire though.

I got to work with a nice man Cody Kilgore from Blackcap Photography for these next few set of outfits. Exciting.

A Good Bootie

My favorite shoe for fall and winter is without a doubt ankle booties. A Nordstrom Rack just opened up near me. Happy. Their shoe department is amazing and I found the perfect pair of ankle booties there recently. Really happy. I wanted something a little nicer with a heel but still something I could wear to class and these fit the bill, they sure do. I would highly recommend browsing their website.

As I've said before, socks are important. A nice little colored sock adds so much I think. It also brings out the navy in the sweater.
